In this workshop, you will learn how to craft beautiful and useful hand brooms in what is often called the “turkey wing” style. We will discuss the history of broomcorn and broom making traditions, how to select broomcorn for working with, and give an overview of our methods for growing and processing broomcorn at Bundle Sticks Farm. You will leave with at least one turkey wing style handmade broom.

This class is suitable for teens and adults. No experience is necessary, although some manual dexterity, hand strength, and patience are helpful.
