After 3 years of growing broomcorn and saving our own seed, we are very excited to offer this craft broomcorn (broomcorn on the stalk) for fellow broom makers! Available in 5 lb bundles for $12 per pound. Want more than 5 lb? You can order 5 lb, 10 lb, or 15 lb for the same shipping price. (Note: Each of these amounts are listed as a different product in this online store.)

Please note: our broomcorn has about 25 plants per pound. Other sources of craft broomcorn say theirs is about 40 plants per pound, so ours is either more stout or isn’t as dried down, or both.

We are aware that many broom makers could be buying craft broomcorn for $6 lb or less from commercial sources bringing it from Mexico, so our broomcorn may not be for everyone. Our 2025 crop is for broom makers who are interested in using a domestically and organically grown material in their brooms and to help us build this industry together with customers.

Consider this: a 5 lb bundle has about 125 plants in it. If you are able to make 4 full-size brooms with this bundle, at $60/bundle, that is $15 of broomcorn per broom, a value that can be passed onto customers who are willing to pay a few dollars more for U.S. farm-grown and organically grown material.
